Clinical Consultants, LLC was organized in 2009 by Dr. Christopher Barrilleaux, who is the owner and the principal clinician, as a professional practice specializing in psychotherapy, relationship counseling, team development, mediation, and collaborative divorce.

Mission Statement
As a clinical social worker, my goal is to help people —individuals, couples, families, teams, organizations—achieve greater equilibrium in their lives, and to build and strengthen bridges in important relationships.

Dr. Barrilleaux previously worked in the mental health and substance abuse fields since 1984 as a professional counselor and substance abuse counselor prior to becoming a social worker in 1998. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-BACS) in the State of Louisiana. He received the Doctor of Social Work degree from Tulane University in 2017, and was awarded the “Outstanding Doctoral Student Achievement Award.” He also holds the Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University; and the Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Notre Dame Seminary having graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1992 with a focus on Systematic Theology. Prior to that he completed a graduate curriculum in Psychological Counseling at Nicholls State University in 1986 where he focused on individual and family counseling and psychometrics, in particular Jungian typology. In 1982 he graduated from St Joseph Seminary College of Liberal Arts as a Philosophy major.

Dr. Barrilleaux has worked in a variety of professional settings in the last 35 years including Interventionist and Substance Abuse Counselor for the Baton Rouge Chemical Dependency Units, Inc; MSW team leader at Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office; Outpatient Program Director at Odyssey House Louisiana; and as an LCSW-BACS in private practice since 2004. He is a qualified Mediator in the State of Louisiana, and a Collaborative Divorce Coach. Currently, Dr. Barrilleaux is an Adjunct Professor of Social Work at Tulane University where he teaches Theory; Advanced Clinical & Community Practice Methods; Psychopathology & DSM5; and Doctoral Exam Prep to doctoral students.
